Like many women with textured hair, Eva once believed haircare would be simple. She thought all it took was shampoo, rinsing, and drying  just like the women she saw on television. But very quickly, she realized her hair needed something completely different.

Wash days became stressful and painful. Her hair tangled easily, combing caused excessive breakage, and every detangling session felt discouraging. Despite her mother’s care and efforts, the methods passed down through generations were not giving her hair the gentle treatment it truly needed.

As the years passed, Eva struggled with severe breakage, thinning hair, and eventually a devastating episode of hair loss at the age of 19. Like so many others searching for answers, she tried countless products that promised miraculous growth, yet her hair remained weak and fragile.

Everything changed when she discovered two powerful things:

The first was Lwil Maskriti, a pure Haitian black castor oil traditionally handmade in the countryside of Haiti. She witnessed firsthand the incredible transformation it brought to people’s hair  stronger strands, fuller texture, and healthier growth.

The second was the book The Science of Black Hair by Audrey Davis-Sivasothy, which helped her finally understand the unique needs of textured hair and how to properly care for it.

Together, these discoveries transformed her entire hair journey.

Over time, Eva’s hair became healthier, thicker, and stronger than ever before. But more importantly, she gained knowledge, confidence, and a deeper understanding of natural haircare. The compliments she began receiving everywhere she went confirmed what she already felt: healthy hair starts with the right care, the right ingredients, and the right education.
