Shopping Policy

Welcome to The Melanin Beauty , your trusted source for Black-owned beauty brands. Please read our Shopping Policy carefully to understand how we handle orders, payments, shipping, and customer support.


1. Order Processing

  • Orders are processed Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

  • Once your order is placed, you will receive an order confirmation email.

  • Processing time is typically 1–3 business days. During high-volume periods (sales, product launches, holidays), processing may take longer.

2. Payments

  • All prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD).

  • We accept secure payments via:

    • Visa

    • Mastercard

    • American Express

    • Apple Pay

    • Google Pay

    • Shopify Pay

  • Your payment information is encrypted and secure. We do not store credit card details.

3. Shipping

  • We ship within Canada and to select international locations.

  • Shipping costs and estimated delivery times are calculated at checkout.

  • Once your order ships, you will receive a tracking number via email.

  • We are not responsible for delays caused by postal carriers, customs, or incorrect shipping information provided by the customer.

4. Delivery Issues

If your package is marked as delivered but you haven’t received it:

  • Check with your neighbors or building concierge.

  • Wait 24 hours — sometimes carriers mark packages as delivered early.

  • Contact the carrier with your tracking number.

If your order is still missing, please email us at [insert customer service email] within 3 days of the marked delivery date. We’ll do our best to assist you, but The Melanin Beauty is not liable for stolen or lost packages once marked as delivered.

5. Order Changes & Cancellations

Because we process orders quickly:

  • We cannot guarantee changes or cancellations after an order is placed.

  • Please email us as soon as possible if you made an error: [insert email].

6. Sales & Promotions

  • Discount codes must be applied at checkout and cannot be added afterward.

  • Promotions and sales are valid for a limited time only and may not be combined unless stated.

7. Product Availability

We do our best to keep inventory up to date. If an item becomes unavailable after your order is placed:

  • You’ll be contacted with the option to receive a refund, replacement, or store credit.
